buffets, swimming and eraserheads

This day will end in an hour and in exactly 12 hours and half I'll be leaving for work again...buhuhu T.T. I know in my previous entry I babbled about how much I enjoy working and being busy but I didn't say anything about work being better than loafing at home...hehe! Well I didn't actually loaf all weekend...my weekend was actually very hectic. It started with my colleagues and I stuffing our face with yummy breakfast at "Something Fishy" at Eastwood. That buffet was unreal...from 12mn-10am you can enjoy the ultimate breakfast feast for just 80 pesos...awesome right??? But wait, there's more (hehe)...you can have your bottomless iced tea or bottomless soda for only 24 pesos...or was it 26...well anyway it's way cheaper than the usual 60 peso bottomless drinks in other restaurants. It was so cool 'cause I actually ate breakfast at 12 midnight and what's really surprising is that there were a lot of other people eating breakfast with me at 12 midnight...hehe! Got home at around 2:30 AM...slept @ 3 and four hours after I slept I had to wake up to go swimming in Los Banos...saya no??? My head was killing me but I didn't want to be a spoiler so I still went swimming even if I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo sleepy...it was worth it 'cause I learned how to swim like a mermaid...hehe! Today was also hectic...woke up early for church...had choir practice after church...went to Greenhills (PESTE WALANG TIANGGE!!!) then we went to San Juan to visit a grand uncle and a grand aunt.

At present, I'm being all nostalgic listening to Eheads Anthology (currently playing: Huwag Mo Nang Itanong *sighs*) It's really nice listening to these songs...'can't believe it has been more than 10 years since we first heard this band that totally revolutionized Filipino music...well ok, we can't say they're totally original because their influences are really obvious in their songs but I don't know...a lot of people were scandalized by their very honest lyrics (others called it vulgar...hehe) and a lot of people (including moi) were also liberated by their lyrics that eloquently expressed the ideas, concerns and angst of my generation. *SIGHS* I can see that many bands have attempted and are still attempting to reach the heights that the Eheads reached when they were still together but I don't think that'll be possible...I'm getting a little carried away...haha...well I don't think I have to explain why I love the Eheads and their songs...their songs are the soundtracks of my youth and THEY'RE SIMPLY AWESOME...that's all I should say.

It's funny...listening to these song just made me realize that I'm no longer young...I already have a very long past that I can look back to...I'll be turning 27 in December (8th to be exact...ahem ahem...just want to remind my friends and family...hehe!) and in a few years I would be celebrating my 3rd decade of existence on this planet...SCARRRRY!!!! HEHE! My life so far has been great. It's not perfect...I've gone through some really tough times...I have lots of regrets...but God has blessed with more GREAT TIMES and THANKSGIVING...I can proudly say that I've grown into a beautiful, brilliant, loving and kind hearted woman who's now ripe for the taking...HAHA... JOKE (all jokes are half meant...hehe)!!! Seriously...I'm happy about how my life turned out and I'm excited about what's in store for me...I know somewhere there's a handsome...brilliant...loving and kind hearted man lurking around ready to jump on me...HEHE...and I know GOD has a really grand plan for my life and I can't wait to fulfill it for His glory *^.^*

(I never went to Kalayaan UP Dorm...I never spent nights in U.P. with my friends talking about my dreams and future plans but I just thought it would be appropriate for me to post the lyrics of this song along with this overly sentimental entry of mine...hehe...and this goes out to all the friends I had, still have and will have in the future...i miss you sharyl, jona and phia)

MINSAN
Artist: Eraserheads
Album: Circus

chorus
