not so good friday

Today is Good Friday...it's supposed to be uneventful...hehe!

I remember how I used to hate this day when I was a kid. There was nothing on the T.V...you're not supposed to laugh out loud or even look happy 'cause "God is dead" (according to the old people). Good thing now that I'm older it's now clear to me that God does not die year after year (which I really found hard to believe in the first place!) and I no longer have to worry about getting in trouble and not having God around to bail me out.

Well I sorta got into some kind of trouble...somebody stole my freakin side mirrors (Jona don't worry it was my car's side mirrors not yours)!!! GRRRRRRR!!!! This morning I had to go to church for band practice... my car was parked in front of our church...when I was about to leave I noticed that my mirrors were missing...it was sooooo unbelievable...I mean I know things like this happen but not on a GOOD FRIDAY when everyone's supposed to be reflecting on his or her life and asking God for forgiveness for his or her sins!!! There was nothing I could do...I had to drive home without side mirrors which was quite a challenge...good thing there weren't too many cars on the streets.

I just finished watching "In Good Company"...it was a really nice movie. Scarlett Johannsen is soooooo pretty...I wish I look like her...hehe.

VACATION!

I should be sleeping now 'cause we'll be leaving for Batangas early this morning but I can't.

These past few days I've been sleeping really late...even if I try to sleep before 1AM...I just can't do it...I usually sleep at around 3 Am. Last Monday I decided to watch "Bridgette Jones' Diary: Edge of Reason" when I couldn't bring myself to sleep...then the night after that I watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I think I should get myself more of those vcd's 'cause it looks like it's gonna be a habit I'll be keeping for a very long time.

Saw American Idol a while ago and once again I'm left with that strong desire to become a SUPASTAH...haha! Carrie Underwood was sooooooooooo amazing...I hate her...haha...she's so pretty and her voice is just flawless. Bo Bice is just sooooooo cool. His voice makes me melt...I want a boyfriend who can sing like him...(no wonder God hasn't answered my pray'r...hehe!) It's so weird how the contestants are all starting to sound like rock stars...hehe...which is actually a good thing 'cause last year most of the contestants sang R&B which I really don't dig.

The week is finally over. I'm so sleepy right now...I can't wait to get home.

This week has been ok. Things at work are a bit better than last week. I'm getting used to being the responsible one in the office. It's really cool 'cause people are taking me seriously now...hehe!

I'm so excited about going to Greenhills tomorrow. We'll be celebrating Erika's graduation and Brian's birthday over lunch at greenhills tomorrow...then after lunch I'm goin shoppin......whooopeeeee!!!! haha!

Can't believe the weekend is about to end again:( I'm gonna have to face another week at work...BLAHHHHH!!!! Last week I mentioned I'm loving my job...well I'm really enjoying my job but I still enjoy sleeping and loafing more...hehe! Good thing pay day's coming soon...at least I got something to look forward to this week.


The weather today was incredibly baaaaaad....man it was sooooooo hot all day!!! Looks like summer has come and it's staying for quite some time:( I want to go to the beach!!!


I was feeling a bit reflective a while ago. I was going through some of my verses...I was able to put music to one of my old poems...it sounded quite good...hehe! At present I have 4 finished songs (finished: lyrics with music and all) I'm planning on writing more.


A while ago I watched the video of our vday concert. Once again I felt terrible listening to myself sing. Since I was a kid the people around me have always told me that I have a great voice but each time I listen to myself I think otherwise. I have this weird tremolo to my voice...it's really weird...I don't like how it sounds. I'm starting to worry that I may be like some of those people on American Idol auditions who come to the auditions believing they sound good when in fact they sound horrible...to think I've been singing in church for the past 21 years...haha!!!

Hurray!!!!! The week is finally over.

This week has been crazy at work...I had to train 2 new teachers...manage everyone else and teach my students:( My bosses have been so laid back ever since they made me PM manager...I ended up being really stressed...I'm so stressed out that I started growing white hair...I swear they weren't there before I was promoted. It's weird how everyone's calling me ma'am...I'm so not used to it. This afternoon my former team manager told me that my bosses think I'm doing a great job as a manager...wohooo...I guess this'll mean a big raise when I renew my contract this April...hehe!

I'm so proud of myself 'cause I still have money from my last "sweldo"...hehe! Should celebrate and go shopping...hehe!

It's Monday again*sighs* it's not really that bad...I actually surprise myself 'cause it seems like I'm getting used to the idea that I need to go to work...I seldom have those "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO WORK" moments in the morning now...I guess I'm growing up...hehe!

My weekend has been so eventful. Last Saturday my family and I celebrated my nephew's birthday by going to Los Banos for a swimming party. It was sooooo fun!!! There's no better way of spending the weekends than SWIMMING, EATING AND SINGING(karaoke). Yesterday we prepared a surprise birthday party for my aunt in church. She turned 60 last Friday. My dad mentioned that she didn't get to celebrate her 18th birthday the way young ladies should so we prepared a party fit for a debutante:) I was soooooooo stressed out before the party...we were supposed to decorate the place for the party but we didn't have any materials...it's good we got some scrap metallic paper and really creative minds...hehe...we pulled it off, thanks to my ever reliable, wonderful kids(our church youth).

I saw "Lemony Snicket's" with my cousins last night. The film was good... a bit dark though. Jim Carrey's character in the movie reminded me of his character in the "Cable Guy"....he was soooooooooooooooooooo obnoxious...you'd really hate him for trying to hurt those three adorable kids.

I gotta get back to work...should be a responsible team manager...should be a responsible team manager...NAH!!! hehe (gotta go check my friendster...hehe)

This afternoon...on my way to the rest room I ran into this tall, good looking guy...I think he's a DJ in this radio station in our building. He smiled at me...I smiled at him...he made my day...haha! Now I'm gonna start hanging out near the rest room in hopes that I would run into him again...hehe!
